I am grateful to the Minnesota Twins for the opportunity to participate in a meaningful tribute on September 11, 2026, honoring and remembering the firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

It was a privilege to present a commemorative wreath alongside fellow first responders and military partners before the Twins game. As someone whose life and career were profoundly shaped by the events of 9/11, moments like these serve as an important reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and service demonstrated by so many that day.

I was especially thankful to share the experience with my husband, Ben, and colleagues from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.

Standing together in remembrance reflected the strong bonds that unite those who serve our communities and our nation.

Thank you to the Minnesota Twins for ensuring that the legacy of the fallen firefighters and all those who answered the call on September 11 continues to be honored and remembered. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and their example continues to inspire generations of public servants and first responders.
